Fan After-Sales Service: Warranty, Replacement, and Support

Jack Lv, Fanova R&D / Application Engineering · 2026-09-05

After-sales service is what separates a fan supplier from a fan partner. When a fan is running and then stops, the cost is not the fan - it is the machine that halts with it. Here is the industrial fan after-sales service you get from FANOVA: a 3-year warranty, online engineering support, and a replacement or spare part when the unit itself fails.

3-Year Fan Warranty

Every fan we ship carries a 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects. The warranty covers the motor, the impeller, and the housing, and it begins on the date of shipment. It is the same cover across the whole line, whether the fan is a forward-curved centrifugal in a fan coil, a 24 VDC machine in battery-backed equipment, or an axial fan rated IP56 for process ventilation.

Before a fan leaves the factory it is run on the bench. We measure rated speed, current, airflow, and noise against the performance curve published for that model. A fan that passes that check and then fails within three years is a genuine defect, and that is how we handle it.

Online Fan Technical Support

Fan technical support is by email, and it goes straight to the application team - the engineers who select and build these fans. Contact [email protected] with the model number from the nameplate, and you will be answered by someone who has worked on that model before, rather than a form letter.

We answer on a practical priority. When a running line is down, that message moves ahead of new-equipment requests. A dead fan on a live line costs more than a new order does, and we respond accordingly.

Fan Replacement and Spare Parts

When a unit has failed on its own - a winding fault, a cracked impeller, or a seized bearing - and it is inside the 3-year warranty, we replace it. This means either a replacement fan shipped in place of the failed unit, or the matching fan spare part: the motor, the impeller, or the guard.

We keep the build record for each fan, so the fan motor replacement or component we send is matched to the unit you are running. The same rule applies whether you bought a single fan or a full cabinet of fans.

Most Fan Failures Are Application, Not Product

The majority of failures we are sent are not product defects. They are system and application issues:

  • A clogged filter that raises the load on the fan.
  • A duct run added after the system was sized.
  • A 0-10 V or PWM controller and a fan that do not agree on the signal.
  • A supply voltage below the figure on the nameplate.

Give us the model and the symptom, and we will help you check the system first. A replacement fan will not solve the problem if the cause is around the fan rather than in it - and we would rather tell you that than sell you a part you do not need.

What to Include When You Contact Us

To get a straight answer in one exchange, send:

  • The model number off the nameplate.
  • A couple of lines on what happened and how long the fan ran.
  • A photo if the issue looks like wiring or mounting.

Fan Selection and Sizing Support

After-sales is also about the fan you have not bought yet. For a new application, the same address works. Send the airflow and static pressure you need and the space available, and we will come back with a model, what it would take to change it, and a straightforward quote. Read our EC fan selection guide or see our axial fan and centrifugal fan ranges.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the FANOVA after-sales warranty cover?

The 3-year warranty covers manufacturing defects in the motor, the impeller, and the housing of every industrial fan we ship.

How long is the warranty?

Three years from the date of shipment, and it is the same across the whole range.

How do I get a replacement fan or a spare part?

When a unit fails on its own inside the warranty, we ship a new fan in place of the failed one, or the matching motor, impeller, or guard.

Do you offer online fan engineering support?

Yes. Support is by email to the application engineers at [email protected], and line-down issues are answered ahead of new-equipment requests.
