Suzhou, China — FANOVA MOTOR announces that its FS3G180-2AGL-90 EC single-inlet centrifugal fan has successfully passed the ERP 2026 fan energy efficiency compliance test conducted in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2024/1834.
The test, performed on 14 August 2026, verified that the fan meets the minimum energy efficiency requirements specified in Annex II, Point 1 of the regulation, which applies to motor-driven fans with an electric input power between 125 W and 500 kW. The measured fan efficiency at the Best Efficiency Point (BEP) reached 45.87%, exceeding the required minimum of 34.28% — a margin of 11.6 percentage points. After applying the correction factors specified in Annex III (Cp × Cc × Cguard), the corrected efficiency reaches 54.09%.
ERP 2026 refers to Commission Regulation (EU) 2024/1834, published on 4 July 2024, which sets ecodesign requirements for fans driven by motors with an electric input power between 125 W and 500 kW. The regulation:
For the FS3G180-2AGL-90, the applicable efficiency grade N is 52 (forward curved centrifugal fan, measurement category A/C, static efficiency category, Pe < 5 kW).

For Pe < 10 kW, the minimum fan efficiency is:
η_min = 4.56 × ln(Pe) − 10.5 + N [%]
With Pe = 0.2053 kW and N = 52:
η_min = 4.56 × ln(0.2053) − 10.5 + 52
= 4.56 × (−1.583) − 10.5 + 52
≈ 34.28%
The measured fan efficiency is corrected as:
η = Cp × Cc × Cguard × (Pu / Pe)
where Pu = qv × Δp is the fan gas power at BEP.
| Factor | Value | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Cp (power conversion) | 1.0 | AC supply, no <100 V DC converter |
| Cc (part-load compensation) | 1.1792 | VSD equipped, Pe < 5 kW: 1 + 0.0812 × Pe⁻⁰·⁵ |
| Cguard (guard compensation) | 1.0 | No guard |
η = 1.0 × 1.1792 × 1.0 × 0.4587 = 54.09%
The fan meets the ERP 2026 minimum fan efficiency requirements of Annex II, Point 1.
The FS3G180-2AGL-90 delivers a measured efficiency 11.6 percentage points above the regulatory minimum, providing:
