Impeller Construction: The FB3G280-24GY-90 employs a galvanized steel sheet impeller with eleven backward-curved blades, a geometry selected to maximize pressure generation at moderate rotational speeds while keeping tangential noise low. Galvanized steel offers substantially higher mechanical strength and wear resistance than injection-molded plastic impellers, and its zinc coating forms a sacrificial barrier against corrosion, enabling the fan to survive in humid, dusty, and mildly acidic environments. The 280mm outer diameter impeller is dynamically balanced to ISO 1940 G6.3, keeping vibration amplitudes minimal across the entire 0 to 1940 RPM operating envelope.

Motor Technology: Powering the impeller is a FANOVA BLDC92 brushless DC motor — a 92mm rotor-diameter unit with a sensorless permanent-magnet synchronous drive. The integrated electronic commutation eliminates brush wear and sparking, yielding electrical efficiencies of 85% or better at the design point. Speed Control and Monitoring: Two industry-standard control interfaces are built in: a 0-10VDC analog input and a PWM input, both adjustable to realize continuous speed modulation from soft start up to full speed. The fan simultaneously outputs an FG tachometer signal (three pulses per revolution) so the host controller can monitor actual shaft speed and detect stall or bearing failure early. The conventional control mode is 0-10V/PWM; alternative communication protocols can be supplied on request through the technical team. The power line and control line must never be reversed, as reverse connection can permanently damage the electronics.

Electrical and Thermal Ratings: Insulation class B (130°C) protects the motor windings, and the degree of protection is IP44, guarding the electronics enclosure against dust ingress and splashing water. The drive stage incorporates overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and reverse-polarity protection to shield the fan during transient supply events. Thermal design keeps the controller heatsink temperature within the Class B limit across the full voltage and speed range, supporting continuous S1 duty operation.

Bearing and Mechanical: A high-quality ball bearing system at both ends provides an L10 rated life of 30,000 hours at rated load and 40°C ambient, enabling round-the-clock operation in ventilation duty. The endcap and hub are die-cast aluminum, providing stable rotor seating, good heat conduction away from the stator, and protection against environmental corrosion. The fan may be installed in any orientation — horizontal, vertical, or ceiling-mounted — without affecting lubrication or performance.

Electrical Interface: The 24GY-90 is supplied with 20AWG leads for both power and control connections, with a standard cable length of 125mm as shown in the connection diagram. Custom cable lengths, pre-crimped connectors, and waterproof cable glands are available as OEM options. All leads are color-coded per the wiring schematic in the connection diagram section.

Safety Requirements

Ⅰ.When taking out the fan, do not directly lift the fan lead wire. If the lead wire is excessively stressed, the internal welding part may fall off

Ⅱ.Do not plug or unplug the fan lead plug when the fan is running

Ⅲ.If the fan does not work after starting, do not touch the impeller, rotor, or other parts, professional technical personnel are required to inspect the fan to prevent sudden start of the fan from causing hand or other personal injury

Ⅳ.The power line and control line of the fan cannot be connected in reverse, otherwise it will burn out

Ⅴ.Because of the soft start characteristics of the fan, to prevent personal injury, do not touch the impeller or other parts of the fan during powered on or running at low speeds

Ⅵ.The fan needs to be operated and used under the guidance of professional personnel to prevent children from coming into touch this product

Ⅶ.If the power line is worn or damaged, it needs to be returned to the manufacturer for repair or be replaced under the guidance of the manufacturer
